General Info

Bentoro Firenze on Via Capo di Mondo, 14r, 50136 Firenze FI, Italy, brings a refreshing Japanese restaurant experience to the heart of Florence. The atmosphere feels relaxed yet polished, making it a comfortable choice for dinner with friends, casual date nights, or even a quiet evening focused entirely on good food. From the moment the menu arrives, the attention to detail stands out. The restaurant keeps things refined without feeling overly formal, which makes the whole dining experience feel natural and welcoming.

One of the most memorable dishes on the menu is the Bento Chirashi. The presentation immediately catches the eye, but the real highlight is the balance of textures and freshness in every bite. It feels carefully prepared rather than rushed, and the ingredients work together beautifully. The Sashimi Misto also deserves attention for its clean flavors and delicate cuts. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully selected, which gives the dish a very authentic feel.

The Mix Di Nigiri is another strong point at Bentoro Firenze. Each piece has its own character, and the rice is balanced well with the fish instead of overpowering it. For diners looking for something richer, the Carpaccio Di Wagyu offers a softer, more luxurious flavor profile that adds variety to the overall menu. It brings a refined touch without becoming too heavy. Even dessert keeps the experience interesting. The Meringhe adds a light and sweet finish after a savory dinner, creating a satisfying contrast.

The service style matches the food perfectly. Reservations are accepted, which is helpful because the restaurant gives the impression of being a popular dinner location among locals and visitors exploring Florence. Practical details also make the visit easier, including NFC mobile payments and free street parking nearby. Small conveniences like these make the overall experience smoother from start to finish.

Beer options pair naturally with many dishes on the menu, especially seafood-based selections and nigiri combinations. The restaurant manages to create a calm dining setting where conversation flows easily and the food remains the center of attention. Reviews often focus on the balance between elegant presentation and approachable comfort, and that combination is exactly what makes Bentoro Firenze feel memorable. It is the kind of place where the experience stays with you long after dinner ends.

What customers say?

“ The atmosphere is charming. This is a small pretty restaurant. The staff were helpful and spoke multiple languages. They have a small menu and the portions aren't large, but they were filling. The fish was very fresh. We didn't try the beef. The green tea sunday was surprisingly delicious. Note: this was one of the most expensive meals we had in Florence. Also, you need a reservation ”

“ Again, I don’t usually do reviews but this is one of the best (and reliable) Japanese places in Florence. I’ve tried plenty of restaurants in New York, Japan, Europe, and South America and I think this one hits perfectly a balance of traditional and experimental. The food is not a run-off-the-mill Italian take on Japanese, but a wonderful spin on the ingredients of what makes Japanese food already so great. Highly recommend! ”

“ Very different in a good way from Japanese restaurants running by Chinese, this restaurant is rather close to the original Japanese food. The dishes were tasty but in my opinion not enough for the price. Omurise was with lots of mushrooms which were not very good with shrimps. Ramen was good (still not as good as in Japan, but best in Florence). Sushi were yummy and fresh, very good service and beautiful place. ”
